Hello GP:

Thank you for presenting your views. I honestly cannot disagree with you more - from the unsupportable idea that today's Jews are the Covenant people to whom the Last Days promises apply, to the contemporary Israeli state being prophetically significant. The DNA tests on the Cohen line is far from conclusive that today's Jews are "Jews" (by this, I assume you mean "Israelites").

You have asked me to read many books of the Bible pertaining to the prophecies given to the Israelites. I not only have read them, I have written on them, and applied the prophecies in context multiple places here on THEKINGDOMNOW.ORG.

I honestly don't think you were ever a true Preterist, or you would not be maintaining the applicability of the modern Israeli state in Bible prophecy at all. It is also clear that you don't understand the historical and biblical meanings of "Jew" and "Gentile".

You are presenting nothing different from the mainstream Judeo-Christian myths that have invaded our churches and our culture today, and I respectfully recommend that you start with a clean slate.

I respectfully recommend that you start the Top 10 Judeo-Christian myths (http://thekingdomnow.typepad.com/thekingdomnoworg/2011/04/top-10-judeo-christian-myths.html). I have addressed the DNA tests here: http://thekingdomnow.typepad.com/thekingdomnoworg/2011/04/pyramids-of-skulls.html?cid=6a014e6065f1bf970c01a3fd451e06970b#comment-6a014e6065f1bf970c01a3fd451e06970b

I regularly read Haaretz news.

I know the difference between the northern kingdom diaspora and Judah.

I used to be a preterist with no interest in Israel.

I've tested the theory that Jews are not genetic Jews (DNA tests on Cohens disproves that theory but even if it didn't it doesn't matter if you are genetically jewish if you convert according to the bible - a person becomes as a native born through circumcision anyway, Exodus 12. Seems to me one reason Paul was vehemently against Gentiles being forced to! and also because that is adding to Torah, they are not obligated to in Torah. The Torah prophecied the rejection of the Rock and hardship until the regathering, see the closing chapters of Deuteronomy).

I believe that YHWH made an eternal land covenant with Abraham as scripture says.

I believe that Yeshua will rule and reign from Jerusalem, as scripture says (Micah 4, Isaiah 2).

I believe that Jews have a long term part in the end times as the bible says, Zechariah 8:23.

I believe that the descendants of Ishmael are still at enmity with the descendants of Isaac. That just as Ishmael was a hunter, nimrod was a hunter and Esau was a hunter, in the end times the descendants of Isaac will be hunted, Jeremiah 16.

I believe that the return in 1948 and getting Jerusalem back 19 years later was an amazing fulfilment of the prophecies concerning the times of the Gentiles being fulfilled (see Derek Walker's YouTube teaching on he seven times of the Gentiles. His bible chronology resources are also excellent).

I believe that there will yet be a time when Jerusalem will be surrounded and attacked and finally the Messiah will return (Zechariah 12-14) and that Christians better be careful not to side with the nations that attack them, even if they are right to, the pattern goes: Read Habakkuk.

I believe that Jews are not righteous on the merit of their Judaism alone but that a remnant will be spared as history shows. Also that the entirety of scripture is true but we need to test our interpretation.

The end has not happened yet, he will come in the former and matter rains (reference to the feasts). Read Ezekiel 40-48. He will reign in a literal temple on earth for 1000 years aka the sabbath 1000 years if human history, read Micah! Read Isaiah! Read Genesis "He makes known the end from Bereshit!"

Hello Tevor:

Thanks for your comments.

>> Romans 11:28 explains everything with how we should behave toward Jews...

The first-century Paul's preaching of the Gospel to the Romans concerned the soon-to-come judgment, redemption and justification of all Israel - not just the Jews. Paul is preaching to the Diaspora (Israelites who were dispersed centuries before) and telling them: " And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written..."

The Jewish people (the Judeans, in which Judah and Benjamin were to be found) are not mentioned specifically in Romans Chapter 11 at all. The inclusion of the righteous remnant from ALL the tribes of Israel in the events to come are is the context (Romans 11:2).

It appears that you are thinking the Romans ("Gentiles") are non-Israelites, and the Jews comprised all Israelites. I refer you to a previous blog and podcast entitled Top 10 Judeo-Christian Myths. Paul is writing to his genetic kin, Israelites, who were Romans (Romans 9:1-5). Paul is confirming the prophets: both Houses of Israel were to be saved (The House of Judah and the House of Israel/"Ephraim").

I also recommend you review The Jews in Prophecy (Part 1) and The Jews in Prophecy (Part 2).

>> "As far as the gospel is concerned, they are enemies for your sake; but as far as election is concerned, they are loved on account of the patriarchs"

Again, you will not find in this statement made by Paul anything about the Jews specifically. The Covenant given to Jacob by Yahweh concerned all of Israel (all 12 tribes) - not just the Jews! In fact, the Jews did not even exist then, and only a small portion of Jacob's descendants were ever known as Jews.

I refer you also to A Different Gospel; the Gospel of Jesus Christ was given to all of Israel only. The "two sticks" prophecy of Ezekiel 37 concerned all the tribes of Israel, from the old House of Israel as well as the House of Judah (later called the "Jews"). Found within the Romans were these Israelites of promise!

One more thing here: the "they" of Romans 11:28 is the Greek word ecthros (Strongs G2190) which does not have the meaning of a specific people, or tribe, but of anybody who is hostile to, opposing of or an enemy to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Indeed - in that very century - the Roman heads turned upon Judea as instruments of Divine Judgment.

>> we must not go by their beliefs or their actions, and not fall into the traps they have, but show undying love and mercy toward them, that they may return to God and serve Christ

I am assuming you're referring here to contemporary Jews. Surely, we " we must not go by their beliefs or their actions, and not fall into the traps they have" - but we do! That is the whole problem with Judeo-Christianity, which is poisoned with their doctrine, which is traced to Babylon. However, their ancestors typically have no historical or biblical connection to Judah at all. In fact, this was even true at the time of the Apostle John (Revelation 3:9).

>>... and their ancestors, who support us, be pleased, as God made a covenant with their ancestors...

If the ancestors of today's Jews did not worship the Hebrew God, Yahweh, and were not given the Covenants on the mountain - as can easily be established and confirmed by their own scholarship - then we error greatly by appealing to their heritage. The bulk of today's "Jews" trace their heritage to the Turkish/Mongolic tribes of ancient Kazaria. They vary greatly culturally, racially and philosophically. In fact, the modern Israeli state is largely atheistic, and most "Jews" reject our Savior (which makes them anti-Christ, according to John).

There is no historical, archeological, etymological or biblical support for the idea that today's Jews comprise Israel today.

>> their salvation will please their ancestors, who we will share eternal life with if we believe in Yeshua (Iesus/Jesus)

If the ancestors of today's Jews did not worship the Hebrew God, Yahweh, then they will not have eternal life. If the ancestors of today's Jews were not given the covenant promises, then today's Jews were never given the promises which were given to Israel.

Paul's letter to the Romans concerned first-century Israelites, not contemporary Jews today.

Romans 11:28 explains everything with how we should behave toward Jews:

"As far as the gospel is concerned, they are enemies for your sake; but as far as election is concerned, they are loved on account of the patriarchs,"
Therefore, we must not go by their beliefs or their actions, and not fall into the traps they have, but show undying love and mercy toward them, that they may return to God and serve Christ, and their ancestors, who support us, be pleased, as God made a covenant with their ancestors, and their salvation will please their ancestors, who we will share eternal life with if we believe in Yeshua (Iesus/Jesus).

Thank you for your kind comment. I'm not sure the answer lies in Christian colleges - especially as they are today. As long as we have unbiblical things dispensationalism, Zionism, and Creation Science taught in Christian colleges, they are part of the problem. On the other hand, they can become the vehicle of change if God wills it.

Josh

Your post proved to be that you have an in depth knowledge about the bible. In my opinion having christian colleges can be the answer for people to completely understand what the bible teaches.
